(Possible) Signs that Someone Likes You
- They stare at you (or quickly glance at you when you are not looking)
- We tend to stare at something that we like or want. Sometimes, depending on the person, they might feel overwhelmed if they stare at you, so instead, they look at you for a second so they do not get caught looking at you. If you do catch them do this, this might be a sign. Also, if they are a confident person, they might have intense eye contact with you.
- They make an effort to try and talk to you
- Some people do happen to make their way to talk to you in order to get to know you better. Or they might want your attention, so they try and have a conversation with you.
- Subtle touching
- Most common types of touches I mean would be on the forearm, picking out fuzz on your jacket, brushing their knees onto your body and not backing up (like "non-accidental" kind, where they don't say sorry) In these ways, they do this so that they are in a closer proximity to you.
- Tries to make you laugh
- By trying to make you laugh, they want to see your smile and laughter. They also want to see if they are funny enough and affirm that you enjoy their company.
- Asks questions about you
- Like the second sign, it will be so that they can get to know you better and know what you like/want. They want to learn alll about you. They might use this information for future use to even plan out a date, if you pay attention.
- Open body language
- Tease you
- Act in the opposite way of personality when around you
- They speak of personal things that they usually do not talk of
- They pay attention to details
- They can (possibly) seem nervous
- Their pupils get larger
- Eye contact is continuous
- Holding eye contact is a great sign, since this means they are paying attention to you. If you are talking to someone shy, they might not hold their eye contact as much, but they still tend to try to look up to you.
- Laughing at your jokes
- Their body is close to you
- Triangle gaze
- They try to get your attention
- They admit that they like you
- This is the most obvious one. Confessing. to most people, is hard because most people fear rejection. The person that had confessed may have overcome their fear and had the courage to admite their feelings for you (and maybe ask you out).
A note from the author to the readers:
If you are a high schooler that is reading this, I recommend not getting into a relationship. Especially if your parents tell you not to. Focus on your studies instead, find yourself something you are passionate about, focus on yourself, be the best that you can be. Only 'til then, will everything fall into place. Don't waste your time on someone when you can waste it on yourself (more like investing on yourself). High school relationships usually, but not always, are short-term and come at a cost of heartbreak. Spare yourself the pain. As a person who dated someone in high school and got into trouble at home, it is the best option that you have an objective to follow. Do not let anything, especially ANYONE, cross your goal. You will see that your hard work will pay off.
